Agricultural and Mechanical College, Greensboro, North Carolina

Founded in 1891, the Agricultural and Mechanical College quickly became one of the major African-American colleges in North Carolina. Today it is known as North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University and has an enrollment of over 7,000 students.
