National Union of Nigerian Students (NUNS)

From: Encyclopedia of Student and Youth Movements.

A nationwide university student organization initiated by the Students' Union of the University College of Ibadan in 1956. It includes student councils of the colleges at Ife, Zaria, and Nsukka. NUNS has protested against corruption in the Nigerian government, apartheid in South Africa, and French nuclear-weapons tests in the Sahara Desert.
